Yani Tseng extended her lead at the LPGA Championship Saturday, putting the 22-year-old star a round away from winning her fourth major title.

The top-ranked Tseng shot 5-under-par 67 to take a five-stroke lead after three rounds. She was at 13-under 203 at Locust Hill Country Club outside upstate Rochester.

Americans Morgan Pressel (70) and Cindy LaCrosse (69) were tied for second. Defending champion Cristie Kerr matched Tseng with a third-round best 67 to join Stacy Lewis (70), Meena Lee (70) and Paula Creamer (72) at 5 under.

Tseng, 22, can become the youngest to win four major golf tournaments. She also won the LPGA Championship during her rookie-of-the-year season in 2008, and took the Kraft Nabisco and Women's British Open last year.

Tiger Woods and Se Ri Pak were 24 when they won their fourth majors.

Tseng has seven career LPGA Tour wins, and has already won twice this year, including the State Farm Classic two weeks ago. She also has three international victories this year, sweeping the Women's Australian Open and Australian Ladies Masters.

She finished second at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in April, losing to Lewis after taking a two-shot lead into the final round.

Jacobson takes lead with 63

Fredrik Jacobson sank a 31-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to finish with a 63 at the Travelers Championship, taking a one-shot lead after his third consecutive bogey-free round in Cromwell, Conn.

The Swede's shot on 18 came after Bryce Molder had tied for the lead with a 38-foot birdie on the 17th. Molder finished at 15 under.

Jacobson has three wins in Europe, but none since joining the PGA Tour in 2003.

Amateur Patrick Cantlay, 19, had the lead after two rounds, but the low amateur at last week's U.S. Open bogeyed his final two holes to fall to 11 under and into a tie for 10th.

Wiebe leads seniors

Mark Wiebe shot 4-under 68 in the second round of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, N.Y., taking a two-shot lead over John Huston. Wiebe was at 11-under 133 at En-Joie Golf Club. Local favorite Joey Sindelar (69), Bobby Wadkins (69), Nick Price (71) and Hal Sutton (70) were tied at 7-under 137. -- AP
