For fans looking to get in on the U.S. Open action at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton next week, tickets certainly are affordable on the secondary market – at least relative to recent local sporting events.
The get-in price for Monday’s practice round is $12, according to TickPick as of 11 a.m. Thursday. TickPick’s cheapest gallery tickets are $15 for Tuesday’s practice round and $41 for Wednesday’s practice round.
The retail gallery tickets on USOpen.com for each of the practice rounds are $73 on Monday, $84 on Tuesday and $106 on Wednesday.
However, for the four competition days, there is not much of a difference in the secondary market prices versus the retail prices.
On TickPick, the cheapest gallery tickets available are $207 for next Thursday’s first round, $271 for next Friday’s second round, $277 for next Saturday’s third round and $236 for Sunday’s fourth round. On USOpen.com, gallery tickets are listed for $217 for the first round, $267 for the second round, $289 for the third round and $267 for the fourth round.
On USOpen.com, fans can purchase parking passes at the Shinnecock Reservation with a complimentary 10-minute shuttle service to and from Stony Brook Southampton. The tournament is encouraging fans who “live in the greater Village of Southampton, Hampton Bays, and Sag Harbor areas” to utilize the option. Those passes are available for $359 for the entire week, $28 for Monday and Tuesday, $56 for Wednesday and $84 for each of the four competition days.
The U.S. Open also is selling plenty of tickets with extra perks, including reserved grandstand seats at the seventh, 13th and 15th holes ($832 each for Sunday’s final round), Trophy Club tickets with access to a premium climate-controlled facility along the fourth fairway and upgraded food and beverage options available for purchase ($438 each for Sunday’s final round) and 1895 Club tickets that include access to a climate-controlled facility with a lounge atmosphere overlooking the 17th hole and all-inclusive food and beverage ($3,992 each for Sunday’s final round).
Tickets for the Champions Pavilion, an open-air facility overlooking the first hole with a lounge atmosphere and all-inclusive food and beverage, are available starting with Wednesday’s practice round ($998 each) through the end of the week ($2,219 each for Sunday’s final round).
