Which are your favorite LI municipal courses?

      As I mentioned in the LI Golfbeat yesterday, Golfweek named Bethpage Black the No. 1 municipal course (that is, open to the public and publicly owned) in the U.S. Bethpage Red and Montauk Downs also made the top 50. Kudos to the State of New York for having that triple crown.

       But Long Island has others that are in the elite class. How would you rank the top 10 municipal courses on the Island? Possibilities The Town of Oyster Bay course, Nassau County's Eisenhower Red (good enough for a pro tournament), Suffolk's West Sayville, Huntington Town's Crab Meadow.

         It would be interesting to see what a consensus top 10 would look like. I daresay it would be rather strong.
