Winter golf news and notes
Watch for a new year-round indoor golf facility, the Healthtrax Golf Performance Center, to be headed by respected local pro Doug Mauch. It will open in Nassau County Feb. 1. More details will be available as the date approaches.
Also, Mike Jacobs, the pro at Rock Hill, master of the instructional golf DVD and impresario of the Explosive Golf Web site, has been hired to give a series of golf clinics in Spain this month. We'll give you a summary after his return.
Anyway, Happy New Year to the Long Island golf community. The snow won't last forever.
