Yet another golf event hosted by LI course
Another in a series of national championships is coming to Long Island this year. The U.S. Blind Golf Association, a tournament for blind and visually impaired golfers, will be held at Middle Bay Country Club in Oceanside Aug. 6-7.
It will be the first time that the event will be held in New York, said Ted Fass of Rockville Centre, the tournament chairman this year and a participant. He has played in the tournament and volunteered to be the host.
“My job is to raise all the money,” Fass said. “But I just like helping create opportunities for visually impaired people.”
