Alyssa Weinberg allowed two hits and struck out 16 batters to lead Division past Calhoun 2-1 in a non-conference softball game Thursday. Weinberg, Madison Meehan and Emma Robbins each had two hits.

Mattituck/Southold 14, Pierson 2: Lilly Fogarty struck out 14 in a five-inning no-hitter to lead Mattituck/Southold in its Suffolk VII opener. Bridget Ryan went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs and Emily Baumann went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Riverhead 9, Floyd 7: Bree McKay pitched a complete game and struck out three in Suffolk I. Megan McKay went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Mya Marelli went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Floyd’s Kiara Bellido went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run.

Bayport-Blue Point 12, Amityville 0: Nikki Echevarria pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead Bayport-Blue Point in Suffolk VI. Kate McGuire had a home run, a double and five RBIs.

Shoreham-Wading River 13, Mount Sinai 8: Lindsay Cahill hit a grand slam and Erin Cahill earned the win for Shoreham-Wading River in a Suffolk VI opener.

BASEBALL

Ward Melville 3, Lindenhurst 0: Tommy Ruehle pitched six scoreless innings, allowed four hits, struck out five and walked none for Ward Melville in Suffolk League II. Dalton Rutt earned the save in a 1-2-3 seventh inning. Jordan Goddard had two RBIs and Nick Carnovale went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Rocky Point 13, East Islip 8: Sean Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBIs and three runs scored to lead Rocky Point in Suffolk V. Cody Miller was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and three runs scored and Max Marte and Ryan Smith were both 4-for-5 with a combined four RBIs. Sean Hamilton struck out five in 4 1⁄3 innings to earn the win.

Connetquot 5, Half Hollow Hills East 0: Dylan Thomasson allowed two hits and struck out six in five innings and Justin Wilkinson went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead Connetquot in Suffolk III.

Patchogue-Medford 4, Brentwood 0: Josh Knoth struck out 16 to lead Patchogue-Medford in Suffolk I.

Plainedge 3, Mineola 0: Nick Girardi hit a solo home run in his first varsity at bat and Nick Ranaudo had an RBI single to lead Plainedge in its Nassau Conference A-IV opener. Ben Ellenport allowed three hits and walked five in six innings to earn the win.

Oyster Bay 17, Carle Place 7: Gianni Rizzuto was 2-for-5 with a grand slam and six RBIs to lead Oyster Bay in Nassau B/C. Michael Gatti was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored and Jonathan Goldschmitt was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Sewanhaka 6, Malverne 3: Brendan Doyle struck out seven and allowed one earned run over 6 2⁄3 innings to earn the win for Sewanhaka in a non-league opener. Alec Guglielmo went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.

Clarke 5, Island Trees 2: Sean Welsh, Nick Giardino and Zaim Deljanin combined to strikeout 15 and allowed four hits to lead Clarke in Nassau A-IV. Welsh went 3-for-4 with two Doubles and two RBIs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Mount Sinai 17, West Babylon 5: Taylor Cline had five goals and one assist and Delilah Mile added nine draw controls to lead Mount Sinai in Suffolk Division II. Alexa Spallina had four goals and three assists and Lea Flobeck had four goals and one assist.

Bellmore JFK 12, Wheatley 5: Sarah Klein had six goals, Kaylee Ayers had three goals and Ella Galjanich had two goals and three assists to lead Bellmore JFK in Nassau Conference IV. Adrianna Califano had 15 saves and one assist. Jordyn Behar had three goals for Wheatley.

Garden City 11, Cold Spring Harbor 7: Kyle Finnell scored seven goals to lead Garden City in Nassau I. Carla Curth added two goals and one assist. Hannah VanSon scored three goals for Cold Spring Harbor.

Manhasset 17, Long Beach 8: Alexis Morton and Caitlin Barrett each had four goals and two assists and Nicole Giannakopoulos had two goals and three assists to lead Manhasset in Nassau I. Shea Panzik had three goals and one assist and Annalisa Massaro scored three goals.

BOYS LACROSSE

Bellmore JFK 13, Clarke 5: Max Zaransky scored four goals and added two assists for Bellmore JFK in non-conference. Liam Schillinger recorded three goals and one assist.

West Hempstead 9, Sewanhaka 3: Gavin Lee had six goals and two assists to lead West Hempstead in non-conference.

West Babylon 13, St. John the Baptist 5: Colin Reese had five goals and two assists and Thomas Raccammandato had two goals and two assists to lead West Babylon in non-conference. Brandon Lee and Dom Meo each had two goals.

BOYS TENNIS

Ward Melville 6, Floyd 1: Ethan Timm defeated Jeremy Dominguez 6-2, 6-1 at fourth singles for Ward Melville in the Suffolk Large Division East.
