Tiffany Minors outlasted Xixi Qi, 22-24, 26-24, 21-11, in third singles as Calhoun topped previously undefeated Great Neck South, 5-2, Wednesday in Nassau Conference I girls badminton.

Calhoun (5-0) overcame deficits in five of the seven matches to preserve its 39-match unbeaten streak, which dates to 2009. Calhoun has won six of the last nine Nassau badminton titles.

Marissa Levy and Jenna DelBove defeated Annie Wo and Eunjoo Won, 15-21, 21-19, 21-18 at first doubles. Diana Goldberg and Tara Klein defeated April Leong and Stephanie Chang, 14-21, 21-17, 21-13, in fourth doubles for Calhoun. Great Neck South is 5-1.

Jericho 4, Farmingdale 3: Christina Mangeri and Kelly Yoo defeated Samantha Keep and Voanne Kang, 14-21, 21-8, 21-7, at second doubles for Jericho (4-1) in Conference I.

Valley Stream South 5, Great Neck North 2: Melanie Pavels improved her record to 6-0 with a 21-6, 21-16 win over Susan Wu in first singles to lead Valley Stream South (3-3) in Conference II. Jaclyn Stamile defeated Yvonne Lam, 21-13, 21-23, 21-8, at second singles for VSS.

East Rockaway 5, Valley Stream North 2: Julia Koebert defeated Monika Batra, 21-18, 23-21, at first singles and Alex Casap and Stephanie Ortiz defeated Le Ly and Kristin Montana, 21-14, 20-22, 21-9, at fourth doubles for East Rockaway (4-2) in Conference V.

Garden City 4, Valley Stream Central 3: Kelsey Tierney and Ashley Quatlander defeated Laura Palmero and Emily Lam, 21-17, 21-19, in fourth doubles to lead Garden City (4-1) in Conference V.

Elmont 4, Oceanside 3: Angelica Melo and Karina Colledo defeated Stephanie Volpe and Ashley Engelhart in the clinching fourth doubles match, 17-21, 21-11, 21-9, to lift Elmont in Conference V.

Bayport-Blue Point 4, Sachem East 3: Xavier Stickney and Jonny Keyes defeated Eric Lopez and Tyler Burns in the clinching third doubles match, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, to lift Bayport-Blue Point.

Oceanside 5, Mepham 2: Greg Flax and David Bader defeated Corey Kaufman and Morey Stone, 6-1, 6-2, at first doubles to lead Oceanside (4-0) in Conference 2B.

Chaminade 3, Holy Trinity 1: Mike Todd and Mike Walsh each had 11 kills and Mike Lobben contributed 24 assists for Chaminade (6-2) in a 25-20, 25-19, 17-25, 25-9 win in CHSAA.

St. Anthony's 3, St. John the Baptist 0: Scott Banduyne had 10 kills, Andrew Melon had eight kills and Matt Safranek compiled 27 assists to lead St. Anthony's (9-0) to a 25-11, 25-16, 25-19 win in CHSAA.
