Brian Sherlock scored four goals in the Friars' season opening 9-2 victory over Holy Trinity. St. Anthony's was so potent offensively, Trinity goalie Sam Weiss had to make an astonishing 29 saves. Friars feature more than half a dozen major D-I prospects.

The Titans have the best 1-2 senior pitching combo on Long Island. Lefthander Alex Robinson and righty Anthony Rosati could dominate the CHSAA wood bat league. Second baseman Jack Parenty, the CHSAA Player of the Year as a junior, is the offensive catalyst.

The six-time defending state Class B champs graduated four All-Americans but, again, have an abundance of depth and talent. Their 17-9 win over Hewlett in the season opener extended their win streak to 49 games, dating back to 2010. The Trojans finished last season ranked No. 2 in the country by LaxPower.

The Lady Trojans are coming off a great indoor season where they won two state crowns and took All-American honors in three relays. They return most of their star runners for the spring.

The North Carolina-bound Kristen Brown, who can beat you with her arm and bat, puts the Generals in position to win their first county title since 2004. She leads a deep and talented team that includes Jena Cozza, Emily Lyons and Briana Lombardo.

The Trojans are off to a 3-0 start thanks to a six-goal performance from Liam Kennedy in a 13-8 season-opening win against Class A top seed Syosset. Garden City survived an early non-league test from Ward Melville, coming back to defeat the Patriots 12-9 with 13 saves from Dan Marino and Devin Dwyer's four goals and two assists.

The Friars won a third straight CHSAA Class AA title and, by season's end, were the third-ranked team in the country. Still, St. Anthony's aspires for more. They again have a loaded roster - led by Darcy Messina, Maggie Bill and Annie Heagerty - and will have to run the gauntlet with a challenging non-league schedule.

St. Anthony's is looking to make a run at the elusive CHSAA triple crown--Intersectional titles in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. They have more than enough pieces to do so, with Tom Diliberto, Mike Brunoforte, and Cameron Black, to name a few.

The Generals have reached the Class AA finals in five of the past six years. They are loaded with pitchers, including staff ace Joe Chairamonte.
