Bird scores six goals for Bethpage
Brittany Bird had five of her season-high six goals in the second half for Bethpage in a 23-19 win over Bellmore JFK in Nassau Conference B-II girls lacrosse Wednesday.
Lindsay Cafiero had seven goals for Bethpage (3-1), Sam Mercurio added four goals and one assist and Danielle Bergersen finished with three goals and three assists. Garden City 13, Manhasset 6: Kelly Weis made 12 saves, Alexandra Bruno had four goals and one assist and Mikaela Rix had three goals and two assists to keep Garden City (5-0) unbeaten in Conference B-I.Lynbrook 17, Roslyn 10: Chandley Borges scored three of her four goals in the first half and Nicole Pataky scored three of her four goals in the second half to lead undefeated Lynbrook (5-0) in Conference B-II.Division 9, New Hyde Park 8: Jenna Rothar scored the game-winning goal, her fourth goal of the day, on a feed from Julie Ballantyne, with 8:20 left in the second half to lead Division (5-7) in non- league. Mt. Sinai 9, Shoreham-Wading River 8: Rachel Dillon scored four goals and Caroline Fitzgerald had one goal, four draw controls and picked up five loose balls for Mt. Sinai (9-2) in Division II.
