On Saturday, May 22, there is a charity-celebrity all-star doubleheadere at Half Hollow Hills East featuring several of the top players on Long Island and some big-name NBA players. Gates open at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 and a portion of the proceeds benefits several local AAU programs and a Hills East scholarship fund.

The first game is a high school event featuring Tavon Sledge and Emile Blackman (Half Hollow Hills West), J.J. Moore (formerly of Brentwood) and Achraf Yacoubou (Lutheran) and several New York City high school stars. The second game features former Amityville and current NBA players Mike James and A.J. Price, plus New York City playground legend and NBA veteran Rafer Alston and Troy (Escalade) Jackson of the AND1 Mixtape Tour.
