Basketball beat: Milestones galore

Two of Nassau's top senior basketball players eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone Friday. Mineola's James Bulva hit a free throw in the third quarter of the Mustangs' 69-53 win over Island Trees to reach the mark, and Floral Park's Shamoy McIntosh achieved the feat in the Knights' 73-50 victory over Valley Stream South.

Bulva ranks seventh in Nassau at 20.1 points per game, and McIntosh is eighth at 19.9.
