Casey Kelly's five treys, 36 points lead Oceanside
Senior Casey Kelly hit five three-pointers and scored a career-high 36 points for Oceanside Monday in a 68-56 win over Valley Stream North in the William Shine Great Neck South Tournament consolation.
Kelly had seven assists, Kevin O'Keefe added 12 rebounds and Bob Stewart chipped in 10 points and Tim Nolan had seven assists in the win.
Great Neck South 61, East Meadow 47: Ben Lee had 17 points and John Kestenbaum 14 points and eight rebounds for Great Neck South in its tournament final.
Syosset 85, Mepham 50: Dan Albernas had 28 points and shot 10-for-13 for Syosset in non-league. Junior Alex Rosen had a career-high 18 points and Bryan Zecher 10 points and nine rebounds in the win.
GIRLS BASKETBALLPatchogue-Medford 41, Centereach 37: Sekai Cheatham scored five of her eight points in the final two minutes as Patchogue-Medford overcame a late deficit in non-league. Zoe Riis-Fallica scored 10 points in the win.
Elmont 41, New Dorp 33: Sahadia Cadet had eight of her 13 points during a 26-18 second half for Elmont at the All In Tournament at Midwood High School in Brooklyn. Arielle Pierre added 10 points in the win. Long Island Lutheran 52, Ossining 39: Katie Lavelle had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lift Long Island Lutheran in the Slam Dunk Classic final at Westchester Civic Center. Lavelle was named tournament MVP. Nani Redford added 13 points and Boogie Brozoski had 10 points and five assists.
