Cold Spring Harbor tops Floral Park on Holly Logan's free throws

Holly Logan hit four free throws in the final minute of No. 6 Cold Spring Harbor's 53-52 win over No. 3 Floral Park in a Nassau Girls Basketball Class A quarterfinal. Cold Spring Harbor (17-2) erased a five point halftime deficit. Logan finished with 11 points. Caroline Kiernan had a team-high 16 points and 13 rebounds. Cold Spring Harbor will face No. 7 Seaford in the semifinals at 2 p.m. Sunday at LIU Post.Seaford 44, Wantagh 42: Jessica Rini scored 16 of her 20 points in the second half of Seaford's Class A quarterfinal win. Rini converted a three-point play with a minute remaining to put Seaford ahead 44-40. Desire Fowlkes had 10 points and seven rebounds for Seaford (15-4).

Division 50, Garden City 46: Taylor Calabrese scored the go-ahead basket and hit two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to lead No. 4 Division (18-1) in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal. Laura Stuart scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Kristin Aquila scored 13 points, including three three-pointers. Division will play North Shore at noon Sunday at LIU Post.North Shore 67, Glen Cove 53: Alexandra Cantwell had 20 points, 11 steals, 10 rebounds and five assists for top-seeded North Shore in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal. Caroline Robertson had 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals and Gabrielle Zaffiro had 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.Harborfields 58, Shoreham-Wading River 46: Donasja Scott had 14 points and 14 rebounds for top-seeded Harborfields in a Suffolk Class A semifinal. Kristen Kelly had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Allie Tunick had 10 points and five assists. Harborfields (18-0) will face No. 2 Glenn 8 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's College.Glenn 46, Miller Place 42: Tanna Mohammed had 15 points for No. 6 Glenn in a Suffolk Class A semifinal Lexie Koenke had 12 points and Alexis Groark had seven points and 20 rebounds.

BOYS

Farmingdale 47, Calhoun 38: Curtis Jenkins scored 17 points and added eight rebounds to lead No. 4 Farmingdale in a Nassau Class AA quarterfinal. Danny McKeon scored five of his 11 points in the fourth quarter. Farmingdale (11-3) will play Baldwin in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at SUNY-Old Westbury.

Baldwin 58, Freeport 49: Shane Gatlin scored 18 of his 28 points in the second half, and had five rebounds and four assists for No. 1 Baldwin in a Nassau Class AA quarterfinal. Baldwin (15-3) was down three entering the fourth quarter. D'Marco Barnes added 12 points, eight assists and two rebounds.Uniondale 62, Great Neck South 47: Shomari Redd had 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead No. 3 Uniondale in a Nassau AA quarterfinal. Nick Danns had 14 points and 15 rebounds. Alan McDonald had nine points, 13 rebounds and a steal. Imran Ritchie had seven points and 12 rebounds. Uniondale (14-3) will face No. 2 Elmont at 5 p.m. Wednesday at SUNY Old Westbury. Half Hollow Hills East 60, Central Islip 52: Mike Simon scored 19 points in No. 3 Half Hollow Hills East's Suffolk Class AA first round victory Tuesday night. Justin Fackler had 16 points and 13 rebounds. Half Hollow Hills will face No. 2 Deer Park in a semifinal at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at Farmingdale State.
