Harry Haferkamp, 78, of North Babylon was felled by the extreme heat at the top of the bleachers with under two minutes remaining in the packed house. University police immediately started CPR on Haferkamp, who went in and out of consciousness.

White administered oxygen with the help of Longwood trainer Michelle Cordova. Haferkamp was taken from the gym, put in an ambulance and taken to New Island Hospital in Bethpage. His condition last night was unknown.

Half Hollow Hills West defeated Longwood in the game, 77-69.
