Another boys basketball season, another league title for Harborfields.

The Tornadoes (14-3, 11-0 Suffolk V) locked up their eighth straight league championship on Jan. 25.

With one game left, they are in position to take the top seed into the Suffolk Class A playoffs.

First year head coach and longtime assistant John Tampori spoke with Newsday about a number of topics including:

-- The easy and challenging aspects of taking over the program

-- How much of a factor losing in last year’s county championship has played

-- Seeing former Tornadoes stars excelling at the college level and more.
