Marshall's 22 points lift ESM girls over Riverhead
Alex Marshall had 22 points and nine rebounds and Tara Gerstacker scored 11 points for Eastport-South Manor in a 55-46 win over Riverhead Monday in Suffolk League IV girls basketball. Laura Diehl had 10 points for ESM (6-3). Riverhead is 7-2.
Mattituck 50, Centereach 36: Senior Stephenie Pisacano scored a season-high 31 points, including 6 of 10 from three-point range, with five steals for Mattituck (11-3) in non-league. Theresa Zuhoski added six points, 10 rebounds and nine steals. Danielle Hamlin led Centereach (3-10) with 15 points on five three-pointers.Our Savior New American 53, Upper Room 43: Amanda Gajeski scored 15 points, including four three-pointers, with four assists for Our Savior New American (10-2) in IPPSAL. Floyd 53, Sachem East 45: Anthony White scored nine of his 19 points in a 17-10 third quarter to lead Floyd (5-3) in League I. Sachem East got within four in the fourth quarter, but White hit a field goals and two free throws to extend the lead. He had 10 rebounds.
Chaminade 55, Kellenberg 53: Kevin Hargrove had 12 points, including a layup with 30 seconds left, to give Chaminade (3-4) a 52-50 lead in CHSAA. Tom Morgan had three free throws with four seconds left to extend the Flyers' lead to 55-50. Morgan and Robert Keating each had 13 points and Hargrove added 12 rebounds and four blocks. Aaron Stirrup's 20 points led Kellenberg.
