Kieren McArdle made seven foul shots to pace Connetquot in a 21-21 fourth quarter to hold off Bay Shore for the 60-50 win in League II - coach Bob Drzal's 300th career victory and the team's first league win this season.

Ryan Anderson scored 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, off some key assists from Joe Ruggiero (12 points, three assists). McArdle was 11-for-11 from the foul line and scored a game-high 21 points, with six assists for Connetquot (7-1).

Ken Barnes led Bay Shore (5-2) with 15 points.

This is Drzal's 18th season with Connetquot. Previously, he coached at Farmingdale State, said assistant coach and son Justin Drzal.

"He's definitely happy," said Justin Drzal. The team has fallen on hard times this season, but the milestone, as well as the win against a formidable Bay Shore team, has improved player morale, he said.

"Spirits are definitely up in the locker room," Justin Drzal said. "[Bob Drzal] gets the most out of his players and he's always in the game."
