Pierrot leads St. Anthony's past Chaminade
Danny Pierrot had 24 points and 10 rebounds on Friday night as No. 5 St. Anthony's topped No. 4 Chaminade, 70-61, in a CHSAA boys basketball quarterfinal.
Andre Walker added 17 points and Anfernee Casimir chipped in 14 for the Friars (12-13), who will face No. 1 Kellenberg in a semifinal at 1 p.m. Sunday at LIU Post.
Pierrot had nine points during a 20-11 third as St. Anthony's took a 53-36 lead.
"Chaminade played extremely well, it took our best effort to beat them," said St. Anthony's coach Jim Fenton. "It's going to take a focused effort to deal with a team like Kellenberg."
John Patterson had 28 points for Chaminade.
