Justin Ringen scored a school-record 40 points, leading top-seeded Harborfields to a 95-52 win over No. 4 Shoreham-Wading River Tuesday in a Suffolk Class A boys basketball semifinal.

The senior, whose previous career high was 36 points, surpassed Bret Bearup's record of 38, set in 1980. Ringen shot 16-for-25 from the field, including 7-for-14 from three-point range. Senior Lucas Woodhouse had nine points and matched his career high with 20 assists, and John Patron added 18 points and 12 rebounds for Harborfields (16-2). Kevin Turano scored 18 points for SWR (12-8). The Tornadoes face Amityville in the final at 8 p.m. Friday at Farmingdale State.

Amityville 71, Mount Sinai 60: Richie Hobson had 17 points, 10 assists and six rebounds for No. 2 Amityville (16-3) in a Class A semifinal. Kavione Green added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Guzzardi scored 19 points for No. 3 Mt. Sinai.

Deer Park 67, Brentwood 64: Kyle Bradford's two free throws with 9.5 seconds left created the final margin and Aaren Edmead (15 points) got a steal with 3.8 seconds left for No. 3 Deer Park (17-3) in a Class AA quarterfinal. Sean Scott's putback had given the Falcons a 65-60 lead with 41.6 remaining before No. 6 Brentwood (16.4) scored four straight, capped by Ira Burton's layup with 11.8 seconds to go. Deer Park's Rome Jenkins scored 14 of his 16 points and Bradford had eight of his 11 in the second half. Keith Williams added 17 points.

Floyd 55, Longwood 52: Anthony White had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 2 Floyd (18-2) over No. 7 Longwood in a Suffolk Class AA quarterfinal. White tipped in an inbounds lob pass from Derek Haase (four assists) that gave Floyd a 53-49 lead with 21 seconds left. LaShon Washington added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Elmont 46, Herricks 38: Tristan Brown scored 17 points and Timothy Lewis added 11 to lead No. 3 Elmont (17-1) in a Nassau Class AA quarterfinal. Andrew Fellus scored 14 points for No. 6 Herricks. Elmont faces Baldwin at 4:30 p.m. Monday at SUNY-Old Westbury.

Baldwin 80, Great Neck South 51: Senior Rashid Lesane set career highs with 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals to lead No. 2 Baldwin (16-2) over No. 7 Great Neck South.

Uniondale 76, Freeport 63: Senior Terrance Brown had 11 points and a career-high 17 rebounds to lift No. 1 Uniondale in its Class AA quarterfinal. Kenny Woodard added 13 points and 13 rebounds. Kyhiem Chaplin scored 23 points for No. 8 Freeport. The Knights will play Farmingdale at 7 p.m. Monday at SUNY-Old Westbury.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

North Shore 83, Island Trees 49: Senior Amanda Johansen had 27 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists to lead No. 1 North Shore (18-1) in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal. Johansen's layup with two minutes left in the first quarter gave her 1,064 points, the most in school history. Caroline Robertson added 16 points and seven rebounds. The Vikings will face Floral Park at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Freeport.

Floral Park 46, Sewanhaka 42: Kaela Hilaire had 16 points and 10 assists for No. 5 FP (16-3) in a Class A quarterfinal. Emily Keenan scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter as the Knights took a nine-point lead. Celine Jolicoeur had 15 for No. 4 Sewanhaka.

Lynbrook 57, Wantagh 50: Brooke Gerstman (33 points) had eight straight late in the fourth quarter to give No. 3 Lynbrook (15-4) a 54-46 lead in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal. Danielle Amaya grabbed 15 rebounds. The Owls face Garden City at 7 Wednesday night at Freeport.

Garden City 55, Bethpage 37: Senior Christina Mangels had 14 points and a career-high 31 rebounds to lead No. 2 Garden City (17-2) over No. 7 Bethpage in the Class A quarterfinals.
