Terry Harris scored five of his career-high 26 points in overtime as Half Hollow Hills West held off Bellport, 56-50, in a Suffolk League IV boys basketball game Thursday.

Harris hit a mid-range baseline jumper with 17 seconds left in overtime to give the Colts the lead for good.

Jamir Blackman scored a career-high 17 points and Marcus Solomon grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds for Hills West.Smithtown East 63, West Islip 46: Ryan Ingarozza had 16 points and nine rebounds, Alex Spinelli had seven points and seven assists and Kevin Schroeder came off the bench for 11 points to lead Smithtown East in League III.Bayport-Blue Point 64, Miller Place 37: Connor Panzner and Lucas Jenks each had 16 points to lead Bayport-Blue Point in League VI.Southampton 73, Center Moriches 62: Lyle Smith had 20 points and 13 rebounds for Southampton in its League VII opener. Roosevelt 66, Malverne 58: James Wheeler scored 24 points and Jarmel Richardson added 11 points for Roosevelt in non-league. Jericho 50, Garden City 41: Garrett Johnson had 29 points, six rebounds and three assists in the win for Jericho in Nassau Conference A-I.

St.Mary's 72, St. John's Prep 55: Devonte Green scored 19 points to lead St. Mary's in non-league. Stephen Milhaven added 17 points in the win.

Lawrence Woodmere 69, Solomon Schechter 39: Rokas Lapsys had 24 points and 14 rebounds and Jake Lundenberg had 19 points and seven assists to lead Lawrence Woodmere in non-league. GIRLS BASKETBALL

Smithtown East 46, West Islip 37: Casey Fitzharris had 10 points and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to lift Smithtown East in Suffolk League III. Jessica Anderson had 14 points and 14 rebounds and Sam Delaney had 15 points and eight rebounds in the win.East Islip 34, Centereach 22: Katie Walsh had 12 points and seven rebounds and Mariah Cullen had 10 points and six rebounds to lead East Islip in League III.

Bellport 89, Half Hollow Hills West 46: Asia Rountree had 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals and Arella Guirantes had 27 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five blocks for Bellport in League IV. Comsewogue 49, Deer Park 45: Alyssa Olson had 17 points, Hailey Ottaka had 10 points and 15 rebounds and Kerry MacKinnon added eight points, seven rebounds and three steals to lift Comsewogue in League IV.Copiague 62, West Babylon 44: Mikaiya Moore scored 26 points and Ihnacinse Grady chipped in 12 points for Copiague in League IV.

Huntington 68, Hauppauge 40: Sophomore Mackenzie Maloney had a career-high 18 points, including four three-pointers, and added six steals for Huntington in League IV. Heather Foster added 13 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks and Raynisha Witherspoon had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the victory. East Hampton 48, Southold/Greenport 41: Kaelyn Ward had 18 points and Jackie Messener added 10 points to lead East Hampton in non-league. Garden City 48, Jericho 32: Freshman Kerry McCarraher had career highs of 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead Garden City in Nassau Conference A-I. Sophomore Becky Reifler added career highs of 13 points and seven steals in the win.
