Tobias Harris of Half Hollow Hills West scored 31 points in Thursday’s victory over West Babylon and moved within 127 points of becoming the 11 Long Island boy to score 2,000 points in his career. Harris was ill and did not play against Riverhead on Tuesday. The Colts have three games left in the regular season and since Harris will not average 43 points in those remaining games, the 6-8 Tennessee-bound senior will likely reach the 2,000-point plateau in the team’s second playoff game. Assuming there is no shocking first-round upset, of course.

Here is the game-by-game scoring breakdown for Harris so far:

At Copiague: 28
