Alessandro Troia scored 27 points to lead Manhasset to a 64-57 boys basketball win over Valley Stream Central yesterday in the Battle of the Classes at Long Beach. Jonathan Grimsley had 33 points, including 21 in the second half for VSC.

East Rockaway 73, Bridgehampton 60: David McClure had 27 points for East Rockaway in non-league. Caanan Campbell's 34 points led Bridgehampton.
Portledge 47, Waldorf 38: Sophomore Terence Simpson had 26 points, a career-high 15 rebounds, and six steals for Portledge in the consolation game of the Portledge Tournament.
St. Mary's 73, New Rochelle 57: Travis Woodfield had 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead St. Mary's in the Upstate-Downstate Challenge. Woodfield was named the game's MVP.

Glenn 56, Huntington 30:Allison McKenna had 23 points and 14 rebounds for Glenn in non-league.
Centereach 55, Mattituck 41: Sophomore Jackie Buzaid had a career-high 23 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Centereach in non-league.

Garden City 54, Syosset 37: Sam Auricchio had 17 points for Garden City in the Syosset Holiday Invitational finals. Hauppauge 60, Hampton Bays 32: Julie Williams had 19 points and seven assists to lead Hauppauge in the finals of the Hampton Bays Shootout.

Bay Shore 36, Island Trees 33:Shakore Philips won a double-overtime match by a 4-3 decision at 220 pounds for Bay Shore in the Bay Shore Cliff Clark Classic.
Hewlett 54, Lynbrook 34: Oran Revivo defeated Charlie Curcio, 12-11, at 126 pounds for Hewlett, which won the Lynbrook Sportsmanship Cup.
