Linsalato wins it for Smithtown Christian

Ron Linsalato scored the go-ahead goal from inside the 18-yard box with less than a minute to go as Smithtown Christian beat Pierson/Bridgehampton, 3-2, Monday in League VIII boys soccer.

Kings Park 1, Eastport-South Manor 0: Ryan Finan scored in the 10th minute and Danny Stern made six saves in the shutout for Kings Park in League V.

Harborfields 3, Rocky Point 0: Sophomore Chris McCullough notched the first hat trick of his career for Harborfields in League V.

Amityville 2, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Herson Rodriguez scored with five minutes left in the first half and Hunter Iacovetti with 10 minutes left for Amityville in League VI. Senior Emmanuel Tolentino made four saves for the shutout in his first varsity start in goal.

Westhampton 2, East Hampton 1: Furkan Akyol scored the go-ahead goal on a through ball from Jordan Daniel with 3:57 left for Westhampton in League VI. Akyol also scored the tying goal in the first half.

Southampton 3, Hampton Bays 2: Jorge Rojas scored the go-ahead goal off Stefan Djurasic's free kick from 40 yards with 15 minutes left for Southampton in League VII. Mattias Ruiz scored on a header from Jeste Ruiz's corner kick 13 minutes into the second half to tie it at 2 for Southampton.

Center Moriches 3, Babylon 2: Jake Sweeney scored on a penalty kick with three minutes left for Center Moriches in League VII. Center Moriches' Edgar Amaya scored the tying goal with six minutes left on a cross from Dan Franchi.

Massapequa 3, Hempstead 1:Dakota Barnathan broke a 1-1 tie with his second goal of the game, coming with 15 minutes left for Massapequa in Conference AA-I.

Farmingdale 3, Oceanside 3: Fernando Cortez had a hat trick, tying the score with eight minutes left for Farmingdale in Conference AA-I.

Baldwin 0, Port Washington 0: Dan Capone made eight saves for Baldwin and Michael Moraitis had nine saves for Port Washington in Conference AA-II.

East Meadow 3, MacArthur 0: William Rosales scored three goals in the final 17 minutes, all assisted by Danny Espinoza, for East Meadow in Conference AA-II.

Lynbrook 1, Manhasset 0: Patrick Doody scored on a direct kick from 20 yards in the 19th minute for Lynbrook in Conference A-VI. Evan Foley had four saves for his first shutout of the season.

Cold Spring Harbor 1, Carle Place 0: Riley Cassidy scored in the 27th minute on a feed from Greg Suter and Austin Rattotti made six saves in the shutout for Cold Spring Harbor in Conference B/C.

Wheatley 1, Friends Academy 0: BJ Schiela scored off a penalty kick in the 28th minute for Wheatley in Conference B/C. Eric Orologio had five saves in the shutout.

GIRLSBrentwood 1, Floyd 1: Eighth-grader Edasia Martinez scored her first varsity goal off an assist from her sister Edania Martinez to tie the score at 1 for Brentwood in League I. Kim Outsen scored off an assist from Daisy Titus for Floyd. Amanda Miller made 25 saves for Floyd.

Smithtown West 1, East Islip 0: Gabby Scirica scored late in the first half for Smithtown West in League III.

Deer Park 1, West Babylon 0: Danielle Guinta scored to lead Deer Park in League IV. Larissa Zambelli had 15 saves in the shutout.

Mepham 2, East Meadow 1: Erin Gilroy headed in the go-ahead goal off a corner kick with 7:07 left for Mepham in Conference AA-I.

Herricks 2, Calhoun 2: Erin Rivera scored two goals, including the tying goal with 31:47 left, for Herricks in Conference AA-II. Michelle Iacono and Kristina Gandolfo scored for Calhoun.

Port Washington 3, Valley Stream Central 2: Emily Rosenthal got a hat trick, including the go-ahead goal off a direct kick that was deflected in by a defender with five minutes remaining, to lead Port Washington in Conference AA-II. Shanice Robe scored the tying goal for Valley Stream Central midway through the second half.

Syosset 2, Plainview JFK 1: Gianna Romano scored her second goal with less than 10 minutes left for Syosset in Conference AA-II. Romano scored in the 13th minute to tie the score at 1.

Lawrence 0, Great Neck North 0: Nicole Robinson made 13 saves for Lawrence and Roni Shallt had eight saves for Great Neck North in Conference A-IV.
