Menjivar's goal leads Brentwood soccer
Carlos Menjivar scored the winner off a feed from Jonathan Interiano with four minutes left to lift Brentwood to a 2-1 victory over Longwood Thursday in Suffolk League I boys soccer.
Matt Sommers gave Longwood a 1-0 lead off a pass from Anil Sire in the first half. Carlos Escobar scored with 25 minutes left to tie the score at 1 for Brentwood (9-1-1).
Centereach 2, Riverhead 1: Mike Hollowell scored off a feed from A.J. Watson with 2:41 left to win it for Centereach (4-5-1) in League III. Craig Mannhart gave Centereach a 1-0 lead off a pass from Bobby Cruz with 19:54 left.
Southampton 3, Hampton Bays 1: Dailos Ramos scored on a breakaway with 27 minutes left to give Southampton (10-0) a 2-1 lead in League VII. Yahir Tarron added a goal from close range with seven minutes left for Southampton, which clinched the League VII title. Matias Ruiz also scored for Southampton.
West Islip 1, Whitman 0: Sean Sepe scored off a direct kick in the first overtime to win it for West Islip (9-0-2) in League II. Whitman's Dan Zagorski stopped 8 of 9 shots.Wyandanch 4, Mercy 3: Leonaldo Jean scored the winning goal with three minutes left in the second overtime to lift Wyandanch (4-6) in League VII.

Mepham 1, East Meadow 0: Sophomore Sam Picinich scored her first goal of the season in the 40th minute for Mepham (5-5-2) in Nassau Conference AA-I.
Jericho 1, Hewlett 0: Ricki Lyons scored off a through ball from Jamie Tils with 2:49 left in the first half as Jericho (8-1-1) clinched the Conference A-III title for the first time in 12 years.
West Babylon 1, Deer Park 0: Christina Esposito scored two minutes into the first overtime off a through ball from Marisa Garcia to lead West Babylon (7-3) in League IV.
Smithtown Christian 5, Port Jefferson 2: Chelsea Bellini had a hat trick as Smithtown Christian (7-2) handed Port Jefferson its first League VIII loss of the season.Our Lady of Mercy 3, Holy Trinity 2: Ashley Maldanado scored the winner off a cross by Shannon Brady (two goals) with 1:30 remaining to lead Our Lady of Mercy in CHSAA.

Sayville 2, Bayport-Blue Point 1: Julianna Fiorillo's goal with 22:13 left lifted Sayville (14-0) in Division II.
Shoreham-Wading River 2, Rocky Point 1: Alyssa Fleming scored the winner off a pass from Debi-Michelle Jantzen with 12:40 remaining to lead Shoreham-Wading River (10-1) in Division III. Kaitlyn Taddeo opened the scoring for SWR off a pass from Kim Pflumm midway through the first half.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Bellmore-Merrick 99, Jericho 81:Paige Kaplan won the 200 IM in a school-record time of 2:12.17 for Bellmore-Merrick (6-1) in Conference I. Jessica Arana also set a school mark with a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle in 5:11.62.

Shelter Island 8 1/2, East Hampton 1/2: Ian Lynch shot a 1-under 35 on the front nine at South Fork Country Club to lead East Hampton (12-0) in non-league.Smithtown East 9, Smithtown West 0:Josh Leddy shot a par-36 on the front nine at Smithtown Landing Country Club for Smithtown East (11-1).
