Freshman Chris Taibi scored off a through ball from Alec Chapoteau in the fourth minute to lift Wantagh to a 1-0 win over Hewlett Saturday in non-league boys soccer.

Kevin Laibach made three saves, including a diving stop to his left on a penalty shot in the 30th minute to help preserve the win. Taylor Cain also had a save in the win for Wantagh.

Island Trees 5, Plainedge 0: Anthony Leonick scored a goal in each half to lead the Bulldogs in the Island Trees Fall Cup final. The Island Trees Fall Cup was a tournament dedicated to Dan Haggerty, junior varsity boys coach, who was diagnosed with leukemia. The tournament raised over $500 for the Haggerty family.

Mineola 2, Oceanside 0: Freshman Daniel Pardo scored on a rebound off a shot by Paul Sandoval with under 15 minutes left to lead Mineola in the Mustang Cup championship game. Sandoval had two assists. Christian Lird added another score with eight minutes left -- his second in as many games -- to earn tournament MVP.

Carle Place 1, Lawrence 0: Rui Gomes scored off a cross from Joe Altadonna in the 30th minute to win it in Carle Place Kickoff Tournament.

Farmingdale 2, Bellmore JFK 1: Nader Godshahr scored the go-ahead goal on an assist from Edis Canales in the 56th minute for Farmingdale in non-league. Kevin Katz tied the score at 1 seven minutes into the second half for Bellmore. Harry Rosen made five saves, including a diving stop in the first half on a direct kick from 18 yards out to lead the Dalers' defense.

Valley Stream North 4, Valley Stream Central 1: Juan Rivera scored twice, two minutes apart, in the second half for North in non-league. Marvin Eveillard added two goals and an assist in the win.

Division 3, MacArthur 1: Freshman Justin Hansen, playing in his first varsity game, had one goal and an assist and drew the penalty that led to a penalty-kick goal by Shane McLaughlin for Division in non-league.

East Hampton 4, Mattituck 0: Milton Farez opened the scoring in the 11th minute off a corner kick and scored his second goal in the 65th minute to give East Hampton a 4-0 lead in non-league.

Brentwood 3, Bay Shore 1: Jonathan Interiano and Braulio Sandoval scored 25 seconds apart in the second half to give Brentwood a 2-1 lead in non-league. Ever Torres added a score in the 75th minute for the final margin.
