Meet the runners selected to Newsday's All-Long Island girls cross country team in 2013.

TIANA GUEVARA
Long Island Runner of the Year
Miller Place, Senior
Guevara was the class of Suffolk County in 2013. She won the County Championship at the Division Meet by 15 seconds, crossing the line at Sunken Meadow State Park in 19 minutes, 23.35 seconds and helping Miller Place become the first small school to win the county title. After winning the Class B race at the Suffolk State Qualifier meet, Guevara placed fourth in Class B at states in 18:04.8. The time was the 15th fastest in the state -- regardless of class. |

STEPHANIE GERLAND
Nassau Runner of the Year
Garden City, Sophomore
Gerland won the county Class II race in 18:35.2 and then took the overall county title in 18:36.6. She ran 18:45.3 at the state federation meet, Long Island’s top finish, and took seventh in the Class B race at states in 18:09.9. Gerland won the large school race at the St. Anthony's Invitational in 19:36.96 at Sunken Meadow State Park. |

TALIA GUEVARA
Miller Place, Senior
Tiana's twin sister placed fourth at the Suffolk division championships, finishing in 20:11.02, and placed 18th in the Class B race at the state meet, running a 18:36.6. |

KATHERINE LEE
Shoreham-Wading River, 8th grade
Lee was seventh at the Suffolk division championships, running a 20:21.48 at Sunken Meadow. Lee was 13th in the Class B race at the New York State Championships, completing the Queensbury High School 5K in 18:32.7. |

TAYLOR MCCLAY
Eastport-South Manor, Freshman
McClay finished second in the Class A race at the Suffolk state qualifier, running a 19:54.63. She was 24th in Class A at the state championships, running an 18:30.9. |

CHARLOTTE MOLLOY
Our Lady of Mercy, Senior
Won the CHSAA Intersectional Championship, running a 15:28.74 on the 2.5-mile course at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Molloy finished fifth at the Nassau-Suffolk League Championship, completing the 5K in 20:38.08. |

GRACE MOORE
Calhoun, Sophomore
Moore was all alone down the stretch of the Nassau Class I race at Bethpage State Park. She won in 18:39.5. She took second at the Nassau County Championships in 18:47.4. |

LAURA NOLAN
Miller Place, Sophomore
Nolan placed second at the Suffolk division championships in 19:38.64. She finished 17th in the Class B race at the New York State Championships in 18:35.8. |
