The best in Nassau? Three boys teams --Port Washington, East Meadow, Syosset-- in Nassau Conference I entered Tuesday's league meets undefeated. Port Washington was the last team standing as Taylor Titcomb took first in 16:21 at Bethpage State Park.

Sid Kakkar finished third (16:31), Ryan Schwartz was fifth (16:49), Leo Potters eighth (17:04) and Shoki Yamada ninth (17:18) for the Vikings, who took first with 26 points ahead of East Meadow (51) and Syosset (56).

It was the first undefeated league season since 2008 for Port Washington. Next up for the Vikings is the conference championships Saturday at Bethpage State Park.

 

Richardson sets mark

Uniondale's Alana Richardson made history on Tuesday as the junior set a school record in the 5k, finishing in 19:42 at Bethpage State Park. Richardson bested the previous mark of 19:50 set by Sasha Phillips in 1996.
