Matt DiCarlo converted a three-point play with 18 seconds left to give Farmingdale (3-4) the lead for good in its 50-47 win over visiting Massapequa in Conference I boys basketball Thursday. Kevin Petit-Farar (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Dalique Mingo (14 points, five assists) each scored eight points in a 23-10 third quarter. Ryan Van Buren led Massapequa (4-3) with 12 points.

Ward Melville 50, Commack 47: Tyler Hegarty's putback with 1:04 left gave Ward Melville (2-4) a 48-47 lead in League I. Gorkem Osman scored eight of his 10 points in a 13-7 fourth quarter, while Hegarty and Shane Dineen each led the Patriots with 12 points. Marc Nemhard led Commack (2-5) with 11 points.

West Islip 45, Northport 43: James Tucci hit a straightaway three with 3:30 left to put West Islip (3-4) ahead for good, 40-37, in League II. Tucci and Chris Anderson each scored 15 points and Kyle Turri chipped in seven points and 10 rebounds. Matt Smith led Northport (2-5) with 14 points.

East Islip 57, Riverhead 41: Evan Maxwell had 16 points and 13 rebounds for East Islip (6-1) in League III. Brian Bennett added 14 points, including eight in a 19-8 third quarter. Ben Edmund led Riverhead (4-3) with 13 points.

Miller Place 73, Islip 65: Jack Hepburn scored 21 of his 23 points in the second half for Miller Place (3-4) in League V. Kevin Leyden added 14 points. Ryan Dunne and Steve Jackolski each scored 10. John Horowitz led Islip (5-2) with 29 points.

Kings Park 44, Eastport-South Manor 35: Nick Borkowski scored 22 points with four assists for Kings Park (4-3), which led 33-32 after three quarters. Craig Jeudy scored six of his eight points in the fourth quarter. Curtis Smith led Eastport-South Manor (3-4) with 12 points.

Amityville 69, Bayport-Blue Point 47: Richie Hobson scored 17 points with four assists and two steals for Amityville (7-0) in League VI. Billy Heenan added 15 points and eight rebounds, and Darien Croft had 11 points and six assists. Ross Drzal led Bayport-Blue Point (5-2) with 16 points.

Greenport 55, Stony Brook 47: Dantre Langhorne scored 12 of his 30 points in a 17-9 fourth quarter for Greenport (7-0) in League VIII. He also had 15 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks. Jalen Shelby added 11 points, and Tremayne Hansen had 14 rebounds. Tim Pandolfi led Stony Brook (4-1) with 19 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Oyster Bay 41, Locust Valley 40: Hannah Kaiser, who finished with 11 points, made a free throw with 15 seconds left to give Oyster Bay (4-4) a 41-40 lead in Conference BC. Stephanie Mattocks hit a layup with one minute to play to tie it at 40. Joshlyn Grant led the Baymen with 18 points and eight rebounds. Brooke Spallino scored 17 points for Locust Valley (3-5).

Sachem North 65, Central Islip 60: Andrea Licoste, who finished with 12 points, hit two free throws with 16 seconds left to give Sachem North (3-4) a five-point lead in League II. Colleen McNeese scored 18 points and Erin McNulty added 14 points and 14 rebounds. Janiece Jenkins led Central Islip (4-3) with 33 points.

Deer Park 39, Hauppauge 32: Andrea Desvignes scored 16 points with four steals for Deer Park (6-0) in League IV. Felicia LaSorsa added eight points and nine rebounds. Lindsey Alfano led Hauppauge (4-2) with 12 points.

Bellport 55, Huntington 52: Rynese Smith scored on a putback with less than a minute left in the second overtime to seal the victory for Bellport (4-2). With 40 seconds left in the first overtime, Asia Rountree hit a two-pointer to put Bellport up by two, but Huntington tied it on a two-pointer from Raynisha Witherspoon. Jackie Waldron of Huntington hit a three-pointer at the end of regulation. Rountree led all scorers with 23 points and 14 rebounds.

Roslyn 64, Lynbrook 61: Nina Hadzibabic had 34 points, six assists and five steals for Roslyn (4-7) in non-league. Ashley Levy added 11 points. Jen Fay scored 21 points for Lynbrook (7-4).
