Evans, Jackson key big day for Longwood
It was a day of record-breaking achievement for the Longwood boys track team. Blake Evans won the 200-meter dash in a school-record time of 21.7 seconds and Mark Jackson won the 100 in a record time of 10.5 to lift the Lions in an 81-60 win over Middle Country in a Suffolk League I track meet Thursday.
Evans won the long jump with a leap of 23-feet, 2 1/2 inches, ran the anchor of Longwood's 4x100-meter relay that finished first in 41.3 and took second in the 100 in 10.7.
Lindenhurst 70.5, Sachem East 69.5: Rich DeMaio won the 110-meter hurdles (15.3) and Frank Gravano won the 400 hurdles (58.4) for Sachem East in League II. girls track
Commack 90, Floyd 60: Sarah Bell won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.5 seconds, Erin Neville won the 1,500 in 4:52 and Keira Mezei won the pole vault with a height of 10 feet and three inches for Commack in League I.
East Islip 90, Whitman 60: Quinn Savilla won the 1,500 in 5:31, the 800 in 2:36, the 3,000 (12:16) and anchored the winning 4X400 meter relay (4:28) to lead East Islip in League III. Rachel Lange won the 110 hurdles (18.0) and the 400 hurdles (1:13) for East Islip.

Calhoun 4, Locust Valley 3: Kenny Chang and Eric Ravens beat Nick Gurzynski and Carlos Marru 6-1, 5-7, 6-4, in the deciding second doubles match to lead Calhoun (4-0) in Nassau Conference III.
Connetquot 4, Islip 3: Marc Lewis and Joseph Doner beat Kyle Jeran and Sam Melaniff, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in third doubles to lift Connetquot (2-3) in Suffolk League III. BOYS BADMINTON
Whitman 9, Patchogue-Medford 0: Zack Barrotta and Don Dillilo beat Andrew Quartrale and Chris Margolin, 15-3, 11-15, 15-12 at first doubles and Ernie Lee beat Chris Cavuto, 15-5, 15-11 at third singles for Whitman (4-2).
GIRLS BADMINTON
Oyster Bay 4, West Hempstead 3: Erica Eisenberg and Melissa LaCorte beat Liana Hesselbach and Anna Chen in the deciding second doubles match, 21-16, 21-10, to lead Oyster Bay (4-2) in Conference IV.
