Dylan Bates had 16 carries for 140 yards and two TDs and had six tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery for Shoreham-Wading River in a 19-0 win over Greenport/Southold yesterday in Suffolk IV football.

Tyler Anderson added three sacks and an interception and Scott Lavey had two interceptions for the Wildcats (2-0). Greenport/Southold is 0-2.

Center Moriches 13, Bayport-Blue Point 7: Tyrell Thomas threw a 10-yard TD pass to Myles Bell with 4:45 left in the third quarter to break a tie at 7 for Center Moriches (2-0). Bell had five catches for 48 yards and Tyrell Thomas went 8 of 13 for 110 yards and two TDs.

Bayport-Blue Point faced a fourth-and-5 from its own 45 with one minute left and Bell made the tackle to prevent the first down. BBP is 0-2.

Hampton Bays 42, Wyandanch 22: Juan Ramirez rushed for 135 yards on 23 carries and scored three TDs and Andrew Morris rushed for 135 yards and two TDs on 14 carries to lead Hampton Bays (1-1). Ramirez's 1-yard TD with 1:22 left in the second quarter gave Hampton Bays a 21-8 halftime lead. Mike Ponnesse had 12 tackles and Morris had 11 tackles. Wyandanch is 0-2.

Stony Brook 43, Mercy 35: Don Liotine had 217 all-purpose yards with two rushing TDs, a receiving TD, and a passing TD for Stony Brook (2-0). He also added nine tackles. Andrew White had a 80-yard kickoff return for a TD. White also added a sack and seven tackles.

Senior Patrick Stepnoski had 37 carries for a career-high 236 yards and five TDs for Mercy (0-2).

Port Jefferson 47, Southampton 0: Dan Serignese threw touchdown passes of 15, 30 and 38 yards to lead Port Jefferson (1-1). Anthony Lanieri caught two TD passes.

Mike Sullivan and Joe Gerbino each had eight tackles, Phil Lanieri had two interceptions and Brett Ruggiero added a sack to lead Port Jefferson. Southampton is 0-2.
