Paul Bitetti had 134 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries as Bethpage beat Hewlett, 22-14, Saturday in Nassau III football. Joe Shulteis' 16-yard TD run with 4:23 left capped a 94-yard drive and gave Bethpage (6-0) a 22-6 lead over Hewlett (3-3). But Sam Martorella returned the ensuing kick 76 yards for a TD to put Hewlett within six points. Bethpage recovered Hewlett's onside kick and ran out the clock to seal the game.

Lynbrook 28, Sewanhaka 14: Matt Trotta scored on a 5-yard run with six minutes left in the third quarter to give Lynbrook (5-1) a 21-14 lead. The Owls scored 14 second-half points to break open a game tied at 14 at halftime. Rocco Scibelli had 147 yards and two TDs on 18 carries. Dustin Maskuli led Lynbrook with 12 tackles, Trotta had 11 and Matt Mott added eight tackles and a sack. Sewanhaka is 1-5.

Valley Stream South 34, Great Neck North 12: Frank Accardi had 118 yards and two TDs on 15 carries and Frank Meaney added a rushing TD and a passing TD for South (3-3). Meaney connected with Marco Sammarone for a 53-yard score on the second play of the second half, giving South a 20-0 lead. Phil Crisci added 70 yards on nine carries and made four tackles and Joey Reichert had seven tackles. North is 1-5.

Lawrence 35, Floral Park 7: Ryan Fredericks rushed for 165 yards and three TDs on 20 carries to lead Lawrence (5-1). He also a had a 7-yard TD reception in the second quarter to give the Golden Tornado a 22-0 lead. Kenny Perez had 12 tackles, and Ludwing Velasquez had nine tackles. Floral Park is 3-3.

Manhasset 28, South Side 8: Steve Fratello had 141 yards and a TD on 19 carries to lead Manhasset (4-2). Kevin Overlander had a rushing TD and was 5-for-10 passing for 85 yards and another TD, a 14-yard pass to Matt Downey on the opening drive of the game. Harrison Felman had a sack and a fumble recovery in the end zone for a TD. Bobby Duvnjak had nine tackles and three sacks, Nick Zenobio had nine tackles and Chris Howell had two sacks for Manhasset. South Side is 1-5.

Plainedge 42, Division 7: Ralph Caccavale had 23 carries for 158 yards and three touchdowns, including two first-quarter scores to help Plainedge (3-3) jump to a 28-0 halftime lead. Division is 4-2.
