D-IV: Teich's career day paces Center Moriches
Senior Pat Teich rushed for a career-high 198 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries and led Center Moriches to a 43-22 win over Stony Brook in a Suffolk IV game on Friday night.
Tyrell Thomas threw for 47 yards and a touchdown, Jeff Foster had 16 carries for 97 yards and a TD and Charlie Prott had seven carries for 34 yards and a TD for Center Moriches. Stony Brook is 2-4.
Bayport-Blue Point 60, Southampton 6: Josh Shaw ran for 86 yards and two touchdowns on four carries for Bayport-Blue Point (1-5). Freshman Brendan Bateman threw for a score and ran for another. Connor White had a 56-yard touchdown reception from Bailey Imbo for the Phantoms, who Point had 314 yards of total offense. Rob Popdan added a fumble recovery in the win.
Mount Sinai 35, Mercy 0: Peter Natale had eight carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns, both in the second quarter, for Mt. Sinai (5-1). Austin Kay completed 3 of 7 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns for the Mustangs. Kay connected with Sal Abbondanza for a 30-yard TD in the first quarter and Patrick Hogan caught a 43-yard TD in the second to make it 28-0 at halftime. Mark Donadio had 13 carries for 86 yards and Coles Williams had five carries for 23 yards and a TD with seven tackles for Mt. Sinai Mercy is 2-4.
Shoreham-Wading River 40, Wyandanch 12: Dylan Bates carried 15 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns for Shoreham-Wading River (5-1). Dylan Gorman and Mike Savino each had 10 tackles and Chris Mahoney had a forced fumble.
Babylon 40, Port Jefferson 0: Frank Mankiewicz had 103 yards on 13 caries for Babylon (4-2). Babylon totaled 335 rushing yards on 55 carries. Port Jefferson is 4-2.
