Duggan's TD in fourth lifts St. Anthony's
Anthony Duggan's 3-yard TD run with 4:30 left in the fourth quarter capped a 12-play drive and helped St. Anthony's (3-0) to a 29-19 victory over Holy Cross (3-1) in CHSFL football Sunday.
The Friars' defense forced three turnovers, as Pat McHugh had seven tackles and two sacks. Anthony Anderson rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Masten Ellerbe's 1-yard TD run with less than a minute remaining gave the Friars a two-possession cushion.
Fordham Prep 29, Kellenberg 28: Fordham Prep's Austin Wolf caught a pass from John Trimble for the winning two-point conversion in overtime as Kellenberg (0-3) lost in CHSFL. Malik Crossdale's 2-yard touchdown run set up the winning two-point conversion. Nick Rizzo caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Matt McDaniels during the first possession in OT to give the Firebirds a 28-21 lead. Fordham Prep is 2-1.
Cold Spring Harbor 28, North Shore 19: Kevin Porzelt's 21-yard TD run in the fourth quarter provided the lead as Cold Spring Harbor (2-2) won Saturday in Nassau IV. North Shore is 0-4.
Locust Valley 21, Island Trees 14: Alex Rawa's 93-yard TD reception in the third quarter gave Locust Valley (4-0) a 21-14 win Saturday in Nassau IV. Island Trees is 1-3.
