Chris Laviano completed 13 of 15 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns for Holy Trinity in a 49-7 win over Staten Island's St. Joseph By the Sea in CHSFL football yesterday.

Laviano also ran for 104 yards and a touchdown on four carries for the Titans (1-5). Ryan Alexander caught three passes for 48 yards and two touchdowns, Mike Williams added 111 yards and a touchdown on nine carries and chipped in 11 tackles. Holy Trinity totaled 590 yards of offense. St. Joseph by the Sea is 0-6.

Xavier 41, St. John the Baptist 14: Ryan McCann had a 5-yard TD run and Christian Turri had a 96-yard kick off return in the second quarter to give St. John the Baptist (4-2) a 14-13 lead in CHSFL.

It was Turri's second kickoff return of 90 or more yards this season. Greg Egan completed 6 of 15 passes for 82 yards and two interceptions and added 46 yards on five carries for SJB. McCabe finished with 68 yards on eight carries and Matt Macombe ran for 56 yards on 17 carries.

Xavier scored 28 unanswered points in the second half, led by running back William Solomon, who had second-half scoring runs of 15 and 10 yards. Solomon finished with 150 yards and three TDs.
