Malone, Baldwin roll past Hempstead
Senior Eric Malone had three receptions for a career-high 104 yards and two TDs to lead Baldwin to a 37-8 win over Hempstead yesterday in Nassau I football.
Pat Dillon was 9 of 13 for 157 yards and three TDs. Javaun Tomlinson had 17 carries for 111 yards and an interception. Osama Albangbee had seven tackles and one sack and John Robinson and Matt Guilfoyle each had four tackles for Baldwin. Hempstead is 1-1.
Freeport 49, Syosset 21:Isaiah Barnes threw for 186 yards and three TDs to go along with 108 rushing yards and one TD to lead Freeport (2-0) to its 11th win in a row. Jere Brown had four catches for 62 yards and added a rushing TD. Erroll Small and Maurice Irby each had 10 tackles. Syosset is 1-1.
Massapequa 50, Valley Stream Central 18: Vassilli Grigorakos had 121 rushing yards and three TDs to lead Massapequa (1-1). Matt Pagano passed for 182 yards and three TDs. Jon Dillon had 10 tackles, a safety, a forced fumble, and an interception. Valley Stream Central is (1-1)
East Meadow 49, Farmingdale 0: Senior Robbie Healy had 14 carries for a career-high 193 yards and three TDs and Billy Andrle had eight carries for 41 yards and two TDs for East Meadow (2-0). Chris Buschi had nine carries for 64 yards and a TD and Nick Marinello had eight carries for 52 yards and a TD. Lenny Volpe made two fumble recoveries and Andrle made eight tackles. Farmingdale is 0-2.
MacArthur 26, Plainview JFK 8: Brett Ellers rushed for 150 yards on 10 carries and a TD and Gerard Cuningham went 3 of 5 for 69 yards and three TDs for MacArthur (1-1). Ellers had 11 tackles and Steven Fing added 10 tackles. Plainview JFK is 0-2.
Uniondale 35, Port Washington 15: William Stanback rushed for 173 yards with three TDs for Uniondale (1-1). Marcus Ratley had six tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions. Port Washington is 0-2.
