Devante McFarlane rushed for 144 yards on 17 carries with three TDs and passed for 64 yards with a touchdown for Half Hollow Hills West in a 29-7 win over Whitman Saturday in Suffolk II football.

Jaquese Jones rushed 18 times for 112 yards for Hills West (2-0). Randy Davis and Omar Clark each had nine tackles to lead the Colts.

North Babylon 26, Smithtown East 0: T.Q. Grant rushed for 145 yards and three TDs on 10 carries to lead North Babylon (1-1). Connor Slane scored the other touchdown for the Bulldogs and also had six tackles and one sack. Joe Stamm had five tackles and a sack. Smithtown East is 0-2.

Half Hollow Hills East 49, Centereach 28: R.J. Nitti scored on a 3-yard run with 5:50 left in the game to give Hills East (2-0) a 42-28 lead. Jake Gnieser sealed the game with a 53-yard TD run with 2:30 left. He rushed for 204 yards. Centereach is 0-2.

Deer Park 46, Copiague 14: Austin Sweeting had 102 yards rushing and 111 yards passing and three total TDs to lead Deer Park (1-1). Vinny Vitale added 108 yards and three TDs. He also led the defense with 11 tackles. Lance Rose had 212 all-purpose yards, including a 68-yard TD catch. Copiague is 0-2.

Riverhead 45, Hauppauge 13: Charles Bartlett had 18 carries for 135 yards and a career-high four TDs to lead Riverhead (2-0). Ryan Bitzer was 14-for-22 for 172 yards with one TD and he had three carries for 28 yards and one TD.

Jeremiah Cheatom had 24 carries for a career-high 112 yards and one TD for the Blue Waves. Michael Hichy had five receptions for 71 yards and one TD. Reggie Moore had nine tackles with one sack. Hauppauge is 1-1.

Newfield 13, Smithtown West 7: Mike Silva threw a 16-yard TD pass to Julian Santiago in the fourth quarter and Silva made a 100-yard interception return for Newfield (2-0). Smithtown West is 0-2.
