Andrew Morris ran for 59 yards and two touchdowns and Juan Ramirez had 61 yards and a score to lead Hampton Bays in a 25-13 win over Greenport/Southold Friday night in Suffolk IV football.
Tracy Kennedy's 80-yard kickoff return touchdown gave Hampton Bays a 25-6 lead in the second quarter. Cody Nolan had 11 tackles, a sack and an interception for the Baymen (3-3). Wantagh 56, Farmingdale 46:Freshman Victoria Zozzaro set a school diving record with 239.55 points, according to coach Chris Rafferty. Wantagh is 7-0 in Conference II.
Smithtown 99, Hauppauge 84:Sophomore Deirdre Connor won the 100-yard freestyle in a school-record 54.44, according to coach Terrence Martin. Jackie Doninger won the 100 butterfly (1:00.00) as Smithtown improved to 3-2. Both qualified for the state tournament.
