Justus Nathaniel had a 29-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to give Elmont a five-point lead and added a 65-yard touchdown run later in the quarter as Elmont defeated Bellmore JFK, 20-7, in Nassau Conference II football Saturday. Isaiah Davis scored on a 70-yard run early in the third quarter to start the 20-point run for Elmont (1-1). Sabyan Schmitz added 13 tackles, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Garden City 41, South Side 21: R.J. Votruba rushed for three touchdowns and had a 40-yard touchdown reception for Garden City (2-0). He had rushing touchdowns of 6, 6 and 4 yards. Stevie Finnell’s 8-yard touchdown run in the first quarter cut the South Side lead to 7-6. After South Side’s Owen West found Pat Mullin for a 10-yard touchdown to take a 12-6 lead, Garden City scored 28 unanswered points. Cole Webber threw two touchdown passes — a 40-yard score to Votruba and a 57-yard strike to Jack Archer.

Long Beach 24, Sewanhaka 13: Jeff Conway passed for 200 yards, two touchdowns and added seven carries for 40 yards and a touchdown to lift Long Beach (1-1). Jack Skarren had four receptions for 135 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown in the first quarter to extend the Long Beach lead to 10-0. Jack Miller forced and recovered two fumbles and Hayden Sofield and Juke Hartman each had an interception. Hartman also caught a 20-yard touchdown pass.

New Hyde Park 47, Roslyn/Friends Academy 14: Aidan Garvey rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries for New Hyde Park (1-1). His 44-yard touchdown run in the first quarter broke a scoreless tie. Later, Garvey had touchdowns of 3 and 5 yards. Kevin Reilly rushed for 70 yards, scored two rushing touchdowns (5, 57 yards), caught a 13-yard touchdown and had an interception. Vinny Alvarenga rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on five carries and threw for one score.

Calhoun 28, Herricks 6: Joey Goodman rushed for 108 yards on 11 carries, including a 26-yard touchdown run, to lead Calhoun (1-1). He also had a 14-yard passing touchdown to Matt Baci for the game’s first score. Kyle Auty had two interceptions and Connor Faughnan had 85 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, two sacks and a fumble recovery.
