Pat Luzzi caught two touchdown passes to lead No. 4 Bethpage (5-4) to a 23-7 win over No. 4 Plainedge in a Nassau III quarterfinal Friday night.
After falling behind 7-0, Bethpage responded with 23 consecutive points.
Luzzi followed a 40-yard touchdown reception from Michael Blom with a 25-yarder from Thomas Galgano to give the Golden Eagles a 17-3 lead at the half.
Jack Raia tacked on a 39-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Roosevelt 41, South Side 9: Corey Bull had two 35-yard rushing touchdowns and added a 39-yard touchdown reception and a 21-yard touchdown run to lead No. 2 Roosevelt.
Farrakhan Anderson caught a 57-yard touchdown pass from Stephen Vailes in the fourth quarter to put Roosevelt ahead 34-3.
Vailes had two touchdown passes. Roosevelt (8-1) faces No. 3 Lawrence at Hofstra on Friday.
Wantagh 48, Floral Park 0: Sean Colbert finished with two touchdowns to lead No. 1 Wantagh (9-0).
Park. Colbert’s seven-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter extended Wantagh’s lead to 27-0.
Colbert returned a fumble 30 yards for a touchdown for a 41-0 advantage.
Tom Rohan (55 yards), Anthony D’Onofrio (23), Pat Walsh (27) and Gavin Casey (14) also scored rushing touchdowns.
Joe Valenti threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Joyce. Wantagh faces No. 4 Bethpage on Friday at Hofstra.
Lawrence 41, Valley Stream North 14: Akym Land completed 7 of 10 passes for 107 yards and four touchdowns, three of them to Danny Amaya, to lead No. 3 Lawrence (7-1). Amaya had five catches for 75 yards.
Jordan Alexander had two catches for 27 yards and a touchdown. Christian Fredericks rushed 11 times for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Christian Rodas rushed for a touchdown and also contributed 10 tackles. Jack Lanzilotta had eight tackles.
Donovan Batista and Najier Gillespie each had a sack. Aaron Jackson and Joel Blanco each recovered a fumble.
