Luke Spitzer scored three first-quarter touchdowns, two on runs and one on a 56-yard punt return to lead Lynbrook (1-0) over Glen Cove (0-1), 38-20. Spitzer had 172 all-purpose yards in the quarter. Lynbrook had 391 yards of total offense and led 38-6 at the end of the third quarter. Matt Trotta had 11 total tackles for a defense that forced four turnovers.

Lawrence 35, Manhasset 0: Ryan Fredericks had 21 carries for 170 yards and four straight touchdowns to lead Lawrence (1-0). Tyler Fredericks, Ryan's brother, opened the scoring with a 50-yard touchdown run on Lawrence's opening possession and finished with 170 yards on eight runs. Chris Hercules had 14 tackles and two sacks, Kenny Perez added eight tackles and one sack and Jake Bernstein had five tackles and one sack. Manhasset (0-1) managed its only first down on the second to last play of the game.

Bethpage 44, Roslyn 14: Danny Chillianis had 10 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns to lead a Bethpage (1-0) rushing attack that had 10 players combine for 347 yards. Chillianis took his only catch, a screen pass from Chris Ferruzza, 73 yards to the end zone. Paul Bitetti and Frank Camidge combined for 15 tackles and the defense forced one turnover. Anthony Carrello, Brandon Cruz and Dan Stevens each had a sack.

Division 35, Great Neck North 13: Tim Schweitzer's 16-yard touchdown run in the first quarter started a string of four straight Division (1-0) touchdowns that broke an early 7-7 tie with Great Neck North (0-1) Friday night. Joe Vanasco opened the scoring with a six-yard touchdown run. John Maldonado caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Cardno and had eight tackles. Jon Muller added nine carries for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Valley Stream South 21, South Side 0: Frank Accardi ran 15 times for a team-high 101 yards for Valley Steam South (1-0). Accardi also had three sacks for a defense that trapped South Side (0-1) inside the five-yard line on its opening drive, forcing a turnover on downs. Thomas Meaney had two touchdowns, the first keyed by his own 15-yard run to the one yardline, in front of a key Namdi Nwaigwe block. With 8:00 left, Accardi had a 30-yard run that set up Meaney's second score.
