The 3 Stars for Thursday 2/16:
Amanda Johansen (above) had a career-high 30 points and added 13 rebounds and six assists as No. 1 North Shore cruised past No. 16 Plainedge 86-50 in the Nassau Class A first round.
Tamara Simpson had 29 points and 14 steals to lead Portledge to a 56-22 win over Waldorf in the IPPSAL championship.
Kaela Hilaire had 17 points, 11 assists and five rebounds for No. 5 Floral Park in a 53-46 win over No. 12 New Hyde Park in the Nassau Class A first round. Hilaire was 4-for-4 from the foul line in the final two minutes and had an assist on the final basket.
