Casey Kissinger hit the winning three-pointer with 15 seconds remaining as host No. 4 Wantagh defeated No. 5 Mineola, 28-27, in the Nassau Class A girls basketball quarterfinals on Saturday. Kissinger led Wantagh with seven points.

Wantagh (17-4) plays No. 1 Lynbrook on Feb. 29 at Farmingdale State in the semifinals. Caitlin Powers had 10 points for Mineola (15-6).

Lynbrook 68, Island Trees 23: Kaitlyn Benedict had 24 points and made a program-record eight three-pointers, according to coach Koren Pena, to lead No. 1 Lynbrook over No. 8 Island Trees. Benedict also had eight assists. Sophia Dwyer had 13 points, 10 steals, five assists and four rebounds for the Owls (17-3).

Cold Spring Harbor 47, Plainedge 44: Ryan Reynolds had 12 points and eight rebounds and Maggie Spehr made two free throws to secure the win for No. 3 Cold Spring Harbor over No. 6 Plainedge.

Cold Spring Harbor (18-3) plays No. 2 North Shore on Feb. 29 at Farmingdale State in the semifinals.

North Shore 51, Seaford 46: Keira Pombar had 14 points, six rebounds and four blocks to lead No. 2 North Shore over No. 7 Seaford. Pombar hit two free throws to give North Shore (18-3) a 46-45 lead with 33.4 seconds left. Pombar and Emma Priolo went 6-for-6 from the foul line down the stretch.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

Bethpage 46, New Hyde Park 44: Jadyn Hsu hit the go-ahead jumper and ensuing free throw after being fouled with 3.8 seconds left to lead No. 12 Bethpage over No. 5 New Hyde Park in the first round of the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Kate Cusack added 17 points.

Bethpage (11-11) plays at No. 4 South Side on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

Division 63, Herricks 32: Alice Beckett had 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 6 Division over No. 11 Herricks. Division (16-5) will play at No. 3 MacArthur on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

Mepham 51, Elmont 41: Makayla Daube had 19 points and 22 rebounds as No. 9 Mepham defeated No. 8 Elmont. Mepham (12-9) plays at No. 1 Manhasset at on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

Malverne 58, Plainedge 46: Chad Wesley had 26 points, nine steals and five assists to lead No. 9 Malverne over No. 8 Plainedge in the first round of the Nassau Class A playoffs. William Hartley added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Malverne (9-12) will play at No. 1 Friends Academy on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Cold Spring Harbor 77, Seaford 66: Justin Ascencio scored 28 points to lead No. 6 Cold Spring Harbor over No. 11 Seaford. Nate Grossman added 20 points. Andrew Tudda scored 30 points for Seaford (11-10).

Cold Spring Harbor (13-8) will face No. 3 Valley Stream North on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Floral Park 69, Island Trees 49: Ryan Connolly had 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead No. 5 Floral Park over No. 12 Island Trees. Anthony Caris scored 18 points and Jim Driscoll had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Floral Park (15-6) will play at No. 4 Locust Valley at noon on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Wantagh 69, Wheatley 41: Kevin Gutfleisch had 23 points and James Ackermann added 14 points as No. 10 Wantagh defeated No. 7 Wheatley. Wantagh (9-12) plays at No. 2 North Shore on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.
