Girls soccer players of the week

Kim Comstock (keeper) and the Comsewogue defense: Recorded fourth straight shutout with 1-0 win over Bellport.
Rosy Hayes, Northport: Scored five goals in two games, including her second hat trick of the season.
Jackie Kennedy, Plainedge: Scored her first two varsity goals and had an assist in 3-0 win over Seaford.
Edasia Martinez, Brentwood: The eighth-grader scored her first varsity goal off an assist from her sister Edania Martinez midway through the second half to force a 1-1 tie for Brentwood.
Taylor Messina, Smithtown East (pictured above): Had three goals and two assists in 6-1 win over Newfield then scored the game tying goal and eventual game winner in 3-1 overtime win against Commack.
JoJo Murino, Connetquot: Recorded first hat trick of the season in 7-1 win over Central Islip.
Stephanie Paloscio, St. Anthony’s: Had four goals and three assists to help the Friars go 3-0 this week.
Emily Rosenthal, Port Washington: After scoring all three goals in a 3-2 win against Valley Stream Central, she scored the tying goal in a 2-1 win over Long Beach.
Anna Schoonen, Miller Place: Freshman scored her first varsity goal with 30 seconds left in 1-0 win.
Kathleen Taffet, Great Neck South: Scored two goals in each of Great Neck South’s wins.
