Messina's OT goal leads Smithtown East
Taylor Messina scored twice, including the winner in overtime, as Smithtown East scored three unanswered goals in a 3-1 win over Commack Saturday in non-league girls soccer.
Messina's first goal, a penalty shot, tied the score at 1 in the second half. Taylor Sackaris scored in overtime to give Smithtown East (4-4) a 2-1 lead. Messina's second goal provided the final margin.
Commack is 3-2.
