Samantha Sullivan scored the go-ahead goal 20 minutes into the second half to lift Glen Cove to a 2-1 victory over Sewanhaka in non-league girls soccer Tuesday.

Kayla Morrissey also scored for Glen Cove. Stopper Angelica Morra made a save during a scramble in the box after a direct kick with five mintues left to preserve the lead for Glen Cove.

Goalkeeper Ashley Conklin made seven saves.

South Side 5, Hewlett 0: Freshman Christina Klaum had three goals for defending Class A state champion South Side in ABC-V. Hewlett goalkeeper Sarah Herzberg made 20 saves.

West Hempstead 4, Carey 0: Junior Olivia Czavar had two goals and an assist, and Ashley Merrill a goal and two assists for West Hempstead in non-league.

Seaford 1, Manhasset 1: Gabby Kasulke scored off a header with 18:19 left to tie the score for Seaford in non-league. Ali McNamara had scored at 37:30 in the second half for Manhasset. Halle Majorano made 13 saves for Manhasset and Sera Kolat had four stops for Seaford.

Half Hollow Hills West 4, Kings Park 1: Laura Casadonte had a goal and an assist to lead Half Hollow Hills West in non-league.

West Babylon 8, Babylon 0: Taylor Davide scored three goals to lead West Babylon in non-league. Christina Esposito added two goals and an assist.

Long Island Lutheran 4, Lycee Francais 1: Sophomore Carolyn Dottino scored two goals for LI Lutheran in PSAA play. Meghan Pinezich and Nicole Sinacori each scored a goal in the win.

FIELD HOCKEY

Wheatley 1, Great Neck South 0: Alice Chang scored off an assist from Samantha Palazzolo at the 16-minute mark of the second half to lead Wheatley in Nassau Conference IV. Kelsey Eckhoff had eight saves in the shutout, including one off a point-black drive in the first half.

Floral Park 3, Great Neck North 0: Claire Downes scored two minutes into the second half to give Floral Park a 1-0 lead in Conference IV. Hannah Schlechter and Kayla Vargas each scored, Allyson Bostrom had an assist, and Francesca Nargentino made four saves.

Friends Academy 5, East Meadow 1: Junior Erin Gluck scored three goals to lead Friends Academy in Conference II. Bridie Gahan and Taylor Ross each had a goal and an assist.

Rocky Point 1, Harborfields 0: Freshman Annie Kennedy scored her first varsity goal off a feed from Courtney Staudt with 10 minutes left in the first half in non-league play.

Babylon 2, Commack 1: Katie Lydakis' goal broke a 1-1 tie with three minutes remaining in the second half to lift Babylon in non-league.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Harborfields 20, Eastport-South Manor 39: Austin Coneys took first (16:23) and Ty Gamble third in 16:40 at Sunken Meadow to lead Harborfields. Ben Tuttle placed second (16:39) for Eastport-South Manor.

North Babylon 23, Bellport 32: Kris Moran placed second in 16:56 to lead North Babylon.

Babylon 24, Mount Sinai 31: Sophomore Tyler McGarvey took first in 18:01 to lift Babylon in League VII.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Harborfields 20, Eastport-South Manor 37: Kelsey Margey took first in 18:10, Michelle Gaye placed second (21:13) and Chelsea Farinacci took third (21:15) for Harborfields at Sunken Meadow.

Kings Park 20, Islip 39: Christine Hagan (20:06) and Shannon Ahern (20:24) took first and second to lift Kings Park.

Shoreham-Wading River 24, Westhampton 32: Danielle Opatovsky finished first in 21:01 for Shoreham-Wading River.
