NASSAU / CONFERENCE IV
Sophomores Matt Lowe and Kyle Brey are a top-notch combo for Farmingdale, which is riding a 42-match conference winning streak and has won three straight county titles. The Dalers also have Kyle Garry and Mike Saccone.
CONFERENCE V
Garden City has two of the county's top seniors in John-Paul Aldaine-Paiewonsky and Jack Fisher. Senior Andrew Granville and his brother Jonathan, a freshman, are expected to chip in. South Side is led by junior Sean Byrne and seniors Alex Matos and Casey Cameron. Oceanside has three quality seniors in Lawrence Maurello, Adam Weber and Brian Bernstein.
CONFERENCE VICold Spring Harbor, led by juniors Anthony Wagner and Chris Gabriele, appears to be the team to beat in the conference. Eighth-graders Ryan Wallstedt and Ryan Shurina and senior Matt Cohen will lead East Meadow. Roslyn is paced by Ben Mitchell.
SUFFOLK / LEAGUE IIISophomore Jesse Kovacs, freshman Gilbert Chang and juniors Josh Leddy and Brian Walsh should keep Smithtown East near the top.
Half Hollow Hills East returns seniors Steve Chung and Ben Noskin and junior Lou Sileno. A junior quartet of Tom Whelan, Rich Restifo, Brian Rooney and Nick DeMarco help make Smithtown West one of the deepest teams in the league. Commack returns an abundance of experience with seniors John Smagala, Matt Metviner, Dan Kowalsky and juniors Tim Tucker and Harrison Ferlauto.
LEAGUE IVEast Islip, which moved up from League V, has experience in seniors Ryan Scalcione and Paul Caliguiri. Senior Scott Angevine and junior Ryan Scanlon lead Whitman. Lindenhurst has a talented duo in seniors Brandon Hauser and Sean McClinchy.
LEAGUE VSophomore Kyle Burke and senior John Farese lead a loaded Sayville squad. Bayport-Blue Point returns five quality golfers in Mike Giannico, Zach Camtanelli, James Cibuls, Tom Badamo and John Keyes.
LEAGUE VIDefending champion Ward Melville has won 27 straight league matches and is poised to stay on top with Timmy Mirocco and Dominick Riela.
LEAGUE VII
Eastport-South Manor, which shared the title with Mattituck last year, returns Mike Griffiths, Curtis Pusateri, Trevor Jones, Joe Dewar and Zack McNeil. Mattituck has talented freshmen Richie Corizzini and Will Gildersleeve and sophomore Brad Tyler.
LEAGUE VIIIDefending Long Island champ East Hampton is led by sophomore Ian Lynch. Seniors Cameron Yusko and Jimmy McMullen, junior John Pizzo and sophomore Matt Griffith also return. Southampton figures to make the race tight with Scott Ricca, Peter Barnaby and Jake Frankenbach.
