Ben Dellafranca scored the winning goal in overtime to lead Babylon to a 9-8 victory over Islip in Suffolk Division II boys lacrosse on Monday. Brady Shaw went 14-for-19 on faceoffs and Dellafranca and Charlie Bunger each had two goals and one assist for Babylon (3-1). Jake DeGennaro scored four goals and Mike Vitale made 14 saves for Islip (5-1).

Mount Sinai 14, Hauppauge 9: Nick Carretta had five goals and two assists to lead Moiunt Sinai (2-4) in Suffolk II. Lucas LaForge had four goals and an assist and Michael Romeo made 10 saves. Kole Lemke scored four goals for Hauppauge (3-3).

SATURDAY’S GAME

Chaminade 12, Fairfield Prep (Conn.) 10: James Gillis scored four goals to lead Chaminade (3-1) in non-league. Quinn Ball won 17 of 22 faceoffs. Sal Caputo made 14 saves, John Tully scored three goals and Connor Kuttin had two goals and an assist.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Long Island Lutheran 13, Archbishop Molloy 7: Kate Ross had five goals and an assist to lead Long Island Lutheran (3-1-1) in non-league. Ella O’Hara had four goals and two assists and Mady Willocks had six first-half saves.

Baldwin 10, East Meadow 7: Kaitlin Timmes and Emma Ryan each scored three goals to lift Baldwin (5-0) in Nassau III. Timmes also had an assist. Sophie Sorensen and CJ Keryc each had a goal and an assist. Halle Lara had three goals and an assist for East Meadow (4-3).

SUNDAY’S GAMES

Manhasset 12, Wantagh 11: Nicole Giannakopoulos scored the winning goal off an assist from Holly Newman with 2:36 left to lead Manhasset (3-0) in Nassau I. Taylor Gordon won 14 draw controls and Shea Panzik had four goals and two assists. Sienna Diglio had four goals and two assists for Wantagh (3-2).

Bellmore JFK 10, Hewlett 5: Ella Galjanich had five goals and two assists to lead Bellmore JFK (3-3) in Nassau III. Nicole Donoghue had one goal and two assists and Adrianna Califano. Marcie Iannico and Krista Lee each had two goals and an assist for Hewlett (2-2).

BASEBALL

Sachem North 9, Sachem East 3: Anthony Vino tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts and no walks to lead Sachem North (6-1) in Suffolk II. Lucas Singleton went 3-for-4 with two triples, an RBI and two runs scored. Niko Moraitis went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored.

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 9, Valley Stream Central 0: Michael D’Ambrosio allowed one hit for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (4-2) through five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts in Nassau AAA-II. He also hit a two-run home run in the top of the first before adding a triple and finishing with five RBIs.

SUNDAY’S GAME

St. Anthony’s 10, Holy Cross 0: Joe Pritchard threw a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead St. Anthony’s (2-3) in non-league. Brenden Howard went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, a triple and three stolen bases. Alex Bono went 3-for-3 with an RBI, a double and a stolen base.

SATURDAY’S GAME

St. Dominic 9, St. Mary’s 7: Victor Frederick had the go-ahead hit in a seven-run seventh inning to lead St. Dominic in NSCHSAA. Matt Cruz was 3-for-3, including a single to pull St. Dominic (6-1) within one run. Tom Garrett went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

SOFTBALL

East Meadow 4, Farmingdale 2: Brooke Errico went 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead East Meadow (1-3) in Nassau I. Errico pitched seven innings, striking out four batters. Julia Parise and Gabby Shephard each had two hits.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Glen Cove 6, Long Beach 4: Brooke Simmons went 4-for-4 with two homers and two doubles to lead Glen Cove (3-1) in Nassau III. She also struck out nine. Julia Petrizzo and Siena Scagliola each had two hits.

West Islip 7, Huntington 5: Camryn Mariano struck out 15 in eight innings to lead West Islip in Suffolk III. Mariano allowed just one earned run in the first inning, in which West Islip (2-1) fell behind 5-2. Ruby Meidenmann went 3-for-4 and struck out 13 batters for Huntington (2-3).

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

SATURDAY’S GAME

Port Washington 25, Bellmore/Merrick 19: Ashley Yee rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries to lead Port Washington (4-0) in Nassau I. Yee had two interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, and 10 flag pulls. Talia Yardeni ran for 51 yards and a touchdown on four carries and Nil Tanlak had 11 flag pulls.

BOYS TENNIS

Ward Melville 6, Half Hollow Hills East 1: Gabe Bursztyn and Robbie Monticciolo defeated Lohit Madisetty and Tommy Walsh at first doubles, 6-2, 6-3, for Ward Melville (5-0) in non-league.

SATURDAY’S MATCH

Half Hollow Hills West 5, Shoreham-Wading River 2: Bryan Volk defeated Ray Hidaka at first singles, 7-5, 6-3, to lead Hills West (4-0) in non-league.
