Jaret Sarrantonio’s single sent Mike Iadevaia home with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Clarke a walk-off 5-4 win over Half Hollow Hills East in non-league baseball on Wednesday. AJ Cumbo drove in Sarrantonio in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs to tie the score for Clarke (3-1). Iadevaia pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Carey 2, Division 0: Tristan Hickis pitched a complete-game no-hitter on 96 pitches, striking out five and walking one to lead Carey (6-0) in Nassau AA-II. 

North Babylon 8, Northport 1: Tommy Morton pitched a complete game, struck out four and allowed four hits and one earned run in Suffolk III. Isiah Gutierrez was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Jake Miele had two doubles and an RBI for North Babylon (4-4).

Southold 3, Amityville 2: Luke Newman threw a complete game with 12 strikeouts and allowed one earned run for Southold (2-2) in Suffolk VIII. Danny Cartselos drove in all three runs with a two-run home run and a sac fly.

SOFTBALL

Bethpage 3, Plainedge 0: Rylee Petruskie pitched a complete game, allowing four hits while striking out nine for Bethpage (6-1) in Nassau III. She also went 1-for-3 with a single in the bottom of the sixth inning that scored the go-ahead run. Leah Coscino and Elizabeth Hoffner each had an RBI single in the sixth.

TUESDAY’S GAMES

Bellmore JFK 8, East Meadow 0: Lia Fong struck out 10 batters in a shutout to lead Bellmore JFK (2-3) in Nassau I. Kayla Indich went 2-for-5 with an RBI and Cecelia Toto went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Farmingdale 7, Oceanside 4: Megan Scott hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to lead Farmingdale (4-2) in Nassau I. Nikki Athanasiou went 3-for-3 with a walk. Scott, Mattea Vignona and Juliana Abbene each went 2-for-4.

Mount Sinai 6, Sayville 2: Josie Alfano went 3-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run to lead Mount Sinai (2-1) in non-league. Ava DeMarco went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Sophia Rose struck out three in a complete game.

Sachem East 6, Ward Melville 2: Olivia DeRose struck out 13 to lead Sachem East (5-0) in Suffolk I. DeRose went 3-for-4 and Xiomara Llerena, Madison Fisher and Sam Madigan each had an RBI.

BOYS LACROSSE

Oyster Bay 10, Lawrence 1: Joe Gotti had three goals and Chris Lingen tallied three assists to lead Oyster Bay (4-2) in Nassau C/D. Colin O’Toole and Steve Wulforst each added a goal. George Henry won 10 faceoffs and scored a goal. Bobby Hicks made 20 saves for Lawrence (0-4).

TUESDAY’S GAMES

South Fork 10, Westhampton 8: Jack Cooper and Isaiah Lattanzio each scored three goals to lead South Fork (4-2) in non-league. Slate Glick had a goal and two assists. Charlie Corwin and Luca Lattanzio each had a goal and an assist. Heath Sumwalt had three goals and an assist for Westhampton (5-3) and Charlie Beasley made 10 saves.

Middle Country 9, Whitman 6: Joey Grottola had four goals and an assist to lead Middle Country (4-3) in Suffolk I. Tyler Diaz had two goals and an assist. Bryan Goldhammer added two goals. Peter Manaitis scored three goals for Whitman (1-6) and Kieran Davis made eight saves.

Smithtown East 8, Sachem North 5: Cameron James and Luke DiMaria each had two goals and two assists to lead Smithtown East (2-3) in Suffolk I. Giancarlo Pecorale added a goal and two assists. Mark Kenny scored four goals and Michael Howard made six saves for Sachem North (1-5).

TUESDAY’S GAMES

Mineola 12, Lynbrook 11: Caitlin Kenney scored the winning goal with 0.4 seconds left in the fourth quarter for Mineola (4-3) in Nassau II. Lynbrook won the draw after tying the score at 11 and fired a shot wide. Mineola gained possession and cleared it with 25 seconds left before Kenney dodged toward the goal and scored. Kenney finished with four goals and three assists. Rory Meehan had three goals and an assist for Mineola.

Islip 8, Comsewogue 7: Caitlin Barnes scored three goals to lead Islip (4-3) in Suffolk II. Taylor Reising scored two goals and had an assist. Teagan Rao scored a goal.

Mount Sinai 12, Bellport 6: Peyton Choma and Sophia Masone had three goals and an assist for Mount Sinai (3-2) in Suffolk II. Alexa Spallina had three goals and two assists. Kathryn Arrington made five saves. Andie Pedatella scored three goals for Bellport.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Valley Stream District 32, Hempstead 0: Alyssa Santiago had three touchdown passes for Valley Stream District (4-0) in Nassau I. Joeyce Forero caught two touchdown passes and Lauren Alvarez caught one. Jazlene Narvaez had four flag pulls and one interception she returned for a touchdown. Sara Sierzega and Alyssa Santiago each had an interception.
