Kory Cassara hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to propel Eastport-South Manor to a 7-5 win over Deer Park yesterday in League V. Cassara's blast gave ESM (2-0) a 6-3 lead. Tristan Griffith recorded the game's final out to pick up the save. Brandon Martin went 2-for-3 with a double and Justin Hurd hit a two-run home run in the second inning. Connetquot 3, Lindenhurst 2: Brandon Morse hit a walkoff single with two outs in the eighth that scored Mark Wangenstein to lead Connetquot (6-2) in League II. Wangenstein singled and stole second before Morse's single. Connetquot tied the game in the seventh after Aaron Galiano, pinch running for Derek Meyers, scored on a one-out double by Travis Bruinsma.

Half Hollow Hills East 6, Whitman 2: Joe Marzouk threw a one-hitter, allowing no earned runs, striking out nine, and walking two for Hills East (3-5) in League II. Marzouk's no-hitter was broken up by a two-out single in the fifth. Spencer Stein went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Rich Villa went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Division 21, Great Neck North 0: Senior Chris Reilly pitched his first career no-hitter with six strikeouts, and allowed his only baserunner on a walk in the sixth, to lead Division (7-1) in League A-II. Until the sixth, the Blue Dragons pitching had retired 37 straight batters, beginning with Anthony Papa's perfect game on Monday. "They're competitive with each other," coach Tom Tuttle said. "Chris had a very good fastball down in the zone, a good knuckle drop very good defense behind him." Mark Martinez went 4-for-5 with four runs and three RBIs, Joe Spitalieri went 3-for-4 with three runs, and Tom Deegan went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Lynbrook 6, Bethpage 5: Paul Papandrew's two-run double scored Nick Roepken and Joe Cappadona with the winning runs in Lynbrook's (3-2) walk-off League A-III win. Papandrew got out of a bases loaded, one out jam with Bethpage leading 5-4 in the top of the seventh inning to earn the victory.

SOFTBALLSt. John the Baptist 10, St. Mary's 0: Julia Calabro didn't allow a hit in a five-inning win, struck out 13 and walked four to lead St. John the Baptist (4-0) in a CHSAA game. Marissa DeLaurentis went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Islip 3, Rocky Point 1: Vanessa Juengerkes advanced to second on Alexis Freundberg's fielder's choice in the top of the 11th inning of a scoreless game. When Rocky Point's third baseman walked the ball back to the pitcher after the force out, Juengerkes attempted to advance to third. When the move was finally realized, Rocky Point threw the ball into leftfield, allowing Juengerkes to come home with the go-ahead run in a League IV win. Juengerkes also pitched a complete game, allowing one run on six hits and one walk while striking out 12. Kristin Marreta's double later in the 11th scored Freundberg and Taylor Larson and gave Islip (5-1) a 3-0 lead.

Mattituck 9, Southampton 8: Rachel Voegal's RBI triple scored Ashley Perkins with the winning run in Mattituck's (3-5) walk-off win in the eighth inning in League V.

Hauppauge 8, Eastport-South Manor 4: Kaitlyn Snyder hit a two-run single in the sixth that put Hauppauge ahead 7-4 and Lyndsay Smocer and Lauren Mendez hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth to lead Hauppauge (6-1) in League III.

North Babylon 3, Smithtown East 0: Gina Napoli threw a one-hitter and took a perfect game into the fifth to lead North Babylon (6-1) in League II. Theresa Cardello and Alexis Rutha each had an RBI.

New Hyde Park 3, South Side 2: Lisa Pellegrino led off the ninth inning with a triple and scored on a single by Geena Fornataro in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead New Hyde Park (3-4) in a Conference A-I/II crossover. Fornataro went 3-for-4 and pitched five innings in relief, allowing one hit and no runs, to pick up the win.

Great Neck North 4, Hewlett 3: Samantha LaRossa's walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh scored Julia Wolf. LaRossa went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Jessica Weiss threw a complete game, allowing three runs on ten hits and striking out four for Great Neck North (3-1) in Conference ABC-VI.
