O'Hea sets mark for Ward Melville
Senior Caroline O'Hea set a school record in the 3-mile at Sunken Meadow with a time of 18:10 to lead Ward Melville (3-0) to a 24-33 win over Connetquot in League II girls cross country, according to coach Tom Youngs. Julianna Marcucci came in second with a time of 18:41.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Hauppauge 25, Copiague 33:Hauppauge's Ryan Colabella won the 3-mile in 15:33 at Sunken Meadow, which is the fastest in the county this season, according to coach Bill Maida. Wesley Meriwether of Copiague had a personal best of 16:33 to place second.
FIELD HOCKEY
Ward Melville 1, Smithtown East 0: Vanessa Pryor scored the game-winning goal for Ward Melville (6-1) with 1:30 remaining the second half off a corner from Maggie Vachris in Division I. Harborfields 1, Sachem North 0: Isabelle Weschler scored with two minutes left in the game to lead Harborfields (4-3) in Division I. Chelsea Palma had 16 saves for Sachem North.

Smithtown West 7, Half Hollow Hills West 2: Nick DiMarco shot a 2-under 34 on the front nine at Smithtown Landing to lead Smithtown West (4-3) in League III.East Meadow 7, Hicksville 2: Eighth-grader Ryan Wallstedt shot a three-over 39 for East Meadow (1-7) at Eisenhower White Course in Conference VI.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Floral Park 3, Bellmore JFK 1: Jahan Mirchaneani had six kills and six blocks, Jason Cortapasso had nine kills and two aces and Joshen Thottam added six blocks to lead Floral Park (5-1) to a 19-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-18 win in Conference IV.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Brentwood 3, Commack 2: Jamilah Hewitt had 16 kills and seven blocks and Brittany Acevedo added seven kills and nine digs as Brentwood (2-3) came from behind to win 20-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22 in League I.
